The painting ‘Biripi’ is a story passed down from my Grandmother from the Biripi tribe. Growing up in the 1920’s, my Grandmother and her siblings would walk for miles along the river’s edge to farms to bring back food for the family. As the walk was long distance they would often work with the current to take back the oranges, limes and watermelons to the family.
