Collection: Native Flowers Collection
Native flowers are the inspiration for this art work piece. The yellows of the wattles, reds of the Banksias, and pinks of the coastal flowers. Flowers from all areas of the country from central, to the west, and to my homelands on the east.

"I am a proud Aboriginal women with my ancestoral links to the Koa (Guwa), Kuku Yalangi and Barada Barna nations. My parents were both born at Cherbourg, after their families were taken to the mission from their homelands. I am born and bred in Brisbane, with a few years living on the Sunshine Coast. The Moreton Bay Shire has been my home for the past 10 years, and is also a place I did most of my school years. After school I had followed my dream of continuing with my art skills and studying and working in the Graphic Design and Printing industry. Since 1988, I have worked in the News Media industry, and while many of my family have Artistic skills and Creative skills, I was lucky to have that creative blood run through my veins and utilise my cultural design skills into my work life. My family are artists that use many different mediums of the Arts, such as - paint, the pen, the computer, dance, craft, sculpture, photography.... the list goes on. Our art and culture is our pride, and we are honoured to have the chance to share amongst community." - Elaine
